Hi

For an accelerometer project, a very low power DC-DC boost converter (Vin= 5V, Vout = +8V and -8V) is required. In the following I will attach a list which is the technical requirement. The list is written in German, but I think you will find it quite simple and straight forward.
Now, my problem is where can I find such low power DC-DC converter or at least close to it?
Grateful for the replies.

MAX232 is a chip used for 232 serial port. It generates +8V and -8V from 5V supply.

Hi,

Icl 7660 is able to doubke and to inverg input voltage.

There are others: LM2662, LTC1140, MAX282....

What power efficiency do you need? A max232 would be convenient, but it dissipates around 40mW, so its efficiency would be very poor. Micropower flybacks are an options, as are other charge pump chips.
