Hi,
can somebody share some experience with Arduino Uno and HMC5883 for vehicle counting?
thanks
regards

HMC5883 is 3-Axis Digital Compass IC
How do you plan to make it use in counting?

HMC5883 is not only digital compass,
that is AMR sensor, measure earth magnetic field in 3 directions, x, y, z
when car (or any metal parts) pass over sensor disturb earth magnetic field, x, y, and z value will be significant change'd from basic values...

Use two sensors and based on which sensor gets activated first you can check the direction of movement of the vehicle that is if vehicle is entering the parking lot or leaving it.

My intention is not to calculate parking lot,
I need to count vehicle's pass on one direction on road...

How many sensors are you going to use. How many lanes does the road have ?

2 line on the road,
each line one sensor,
Arduino uno mcu,
send count to PC via RF nrf24

are you going to detect which way vehicle is moving?
or just detecting the count how many passed in each lane?
