Hi,

I have built a PICkit2 clone exactly like the MICROCHIP schematic but with a mix of through holes and SMD components ans without EEPROMs.

When I start PICkit2 v2.61, I have a VDD voltage level error but after the hardware is reconized and connected.

Then I start the Troubleshoot menu :

Step 1 Verify VDD
Click on TEST give "Test Passed" and Results: 4,6 V (the Target LED is ON)

Step 2 Verify VPP
Click on Test VPP give "Test Failed VDD Short Detected" (the Busy LED flashs two time and the Target LED is OFF)
A second click onTest VPP give "Test Passed 11,9 V" (the Busy LED do'nt flash but the Target LED is ON)

Step 3 PGC and PGD are tested OK

After these tests the PCB seems to have no error but perhaps it's a component fault ?

Could anybody help me ?

Thanks in advance
