Is there any possibility of using WiMax (802.16) protocol in embedded systems? With FPGAs i would say... Because megabit data rate at 10km range is just great i would like to have more information on this because it seems to be really new and revolutionary, wireless transmissions going up to a next level!!

Re: WiMax Embedded?

Ya it`s possible ... WiMax need a GMAC layer with a 802 phy...

when u can design the GMAC core in a FPGA which is interfaced to ARM with linux then the Whole system can be inplemented

Tis is a good idea... form which web site u copied it ?
