does someone know how to design an hardware dongle ( and the necessary driver ) to use a Nintendo N64 or a Sega Dreamcast JoyPAD on a PC using USB ports?
if such system has been already created, share the sites from where I can get infos, please.

thanks

Hi,

An N64 interface is described here:

h**p://www.st-hans.de/N64.htm

I've built one myself and it works well!

EDIT - hmm doesn't seem to be there anymore. Luckily, I saved it a while ago.

thanks a lot, now the site is alive and if you go here:
https://www.stnield.com/
you can find how to plug the pad in a USB port instead a parallel one.

Do you have tested it using winXP and latest PC games ( not N64 emulated games)?

cheers

Hi,

Yes I have tested it on normal games. It shows as a normal joypad with 14 buttons. Very nice!

Thanks for the updated link - I would really like a USB version.
