Hi,
I am trying to use NCSU's FreePDK45 for teaching university students analog circuit design and layout.
I've managed to set the FreePDK for Synopsys' schematic editor (able to create new schematic using the included devices). But I am still unable to do layout, because there is just no information on how to set it up (there is installation guide for Cadence's Virtuoso, but none at all for Synopsys' Galaxy Custom Designer I am intending to use). So I have a few question here:

1. Is there any way to use NCSU FreePDK45 for layout with Synopsys' tools?
2. If it is not possible, is there any similar (free) PDK available which can be used with Synopsys' schematic and layout tools?
3. Is there any free EDA tools (schematic and layout) which is compatible with PDK's developed for Cadence's Virtuoso?
4. Anyone have any comment for the best combination of analog PDK and EDA Tools which we can use for free in university setting?

Thanks in advance
