Use of a LED Driver chip?

Hello,
We are using the LT3791 current mode controller ic. We are connecting the "vin" pin to a 15V auxiliary power supply. However, the actual supply voltage is 28V and is connected to the IVINP pin.

Is this ok?

According to the datasheet, IVINx common mode voltage is independent of VIN level.
