Use ATMEGA2560 and L298 IC driver to control Stepper motor

I designed a circuit like this, but when I run the simulation the motor won't spin. So what's wrong with my circuit? I'm using proteus 8
 

Circuit looks correct, I guess it's a software problem.
Presume the processor model doesn't care about actual power supply and the processor is configured for internal oscillator.

BTN1 is however not working. PB7 tied to VCC.

So if I want BTN1 to function, what I have to do? Like if I press/hold the button, the speed of the motor changes.

Straight forward debugging:
use a scope to show the stepper control signals.
