Hi,
I'm new to this forum, so I'm not sure if this post is being posted in the right section. If its not, please move it wherever it should be.

Here is my problem: I want to do a project for which a USB to TTL serial cable is required (this one in particular: https://www.adafruit.com/product/954). However, paying 10$ for a single cable seems too much for me, so I found this other options:
https://www.dx.com/es/p/cp2102-usb-to-ttl-usb-uart-module-serial-converter-red-silver-black-277100
https://www.dx.com/es/p/pl2303hx-usb-to-ttl-converter-module-149859

I actually found quite a lot more alternatives, so my question is:
Do those converters make the same function as the adafruit cable? If so, what is the difference between ones and the others?
Thanks

You can get USB to TTL serial converters very cheaply on eBay, makes sure that there are Windows 8.1 drivers available for the converter you chose for future compatibility many don't have a Windows 8 driver. It would also be a good idea to get one with hardware handshaking, but these are rarer and cost more.

These both are same but a little price difference. Buy one of them. The have option to select 3.3V or 5V for TTL interface.
