I want to make a USB charger for Tablet, mp3 player. My design is simple using 7805 for 5V. What to do with D+ and D- pins ?

Hello,
These pins are used for data transfers. If u use it only to charge your device, leave without connections.
Hope this helps.

The data pins are used to identify charging capabilities. If left open, some devices may not charge (they will not recognize the charger as a valid device) or they may charge very slowly.

You can download the specs here:https://www.usb.org/developers/docs/ or do a search for USB charging configurations.

I agree as what bking said, if u have any problems with this,
u need to search for a way out for it. (If in doubt, feel free to come back here and ask us so we can guide you:wink

I don't think that you can do anything for charging capabilities anouncement without dedicated hardware. In so far, unconnecting D+ and D- is probably the right suggestion.

Hi,

If you want to sell your charger in high quantity, then please try to comply with usb standards.
