USB-PC Interface Question

Hi-

I have a pedometer ( **broken link removed** ) which connects to a PC using Omron's software to download each days steps to the computer. I would really like to see the output from the USB cable without having to use their software. Can anyone suggest a program (preferably free) that would help me see this?
