USART problem in choosing pump capacitors

In atmega8 uart what kind of pump capacitor(such as electrolytic,ceramic,polar,non polar and which value) is good while using MAX 232 and i am confused about buffer size. Suggestion needed.
 

Most recommended type of capacitors preferred by manufacturers of Serial port driver MAX 232 prefer electrolutic capacitors.. and the range of capacitors prescribed is 1uF/63V to 10uF /63V.
