Hi guys. I need our help.
The GPS modul that i use is GPS Leadtek LR9548S and it work normal last month. I mean, i can read the NMEA output through hyperterminal on my computer. It shows the UTC, latitude, longitude, etc.
And now when i'm about to use it again, the latitude and longitude is alwasy 0000.0000(zero). but the UTC is right.
Is any body know what happen to my GPS? Is it broke?
I never wrong about the supply polarity.

Please help me.
Thanks before.;-)

Hello!

Something that may happen is that it does not have enough information to
calculate the coordinates. It receives a few satellites (which is enough to get
the global time), but not enough,
Are you using it in open air or in the basement of a building (or inside a building
with potentially a lot of iron in the concrete)?
Go to some open space from which you see enough sky, and retry.
And wait long enough to allow it a cold start. (usually about 1 minute, but
this can be more if the weather is cloudy, etc...)

Dora.

Hi Dora :)

So glad to hear it. So my GPS is not broken, right?
i was in the building last month when i try it. But with that external antena, i still got a signal. But the i try it in open air and the coordinates is same.
And today, i try it in the open sky and i'm waiting about 10minuates but still same. The coordinates always zero.
According to the attachment which is a information about NMEA output, it shows the satelite used is zero too . Is that mean my antenna was the broken one?
The coordinates is still zero with or without the antenna.

Thanks you Dora.
