undefined function or variable

Dear all experts,

My problem is that i did an integration between matlab and vb6, i complete all the code in vb and matlab and i compiled the function from matlab to visual basic.
but when i run the program in vb i face the following message ' undefined function or variable 'sym' ' while i do not have such a function or variable in all my program neither in visual basic nor in matlab.

by the way, the program in matlab is working very good.

help please.
