UC3902 Load share controller

Hi,
Do you agree that the only way that the UC3902 can impact the SMPS that its controlling is via the ADJ or ADJR pins?
It must use these to adjust either the error amplfiier reference of the SMPS, or the output voltage divider voltage?

These are the only two pins that it can use to interface to the SMPS that its controlling over?

Also, UC3902 needs one SMPS to be the master, having the highest output voltage, and the others to be slaves.....if you randomly group the like for like SMPS's in parallel with UC3902's....how does the one know its the master?........surely the batch of supplies is delivered randomly, and so how does the UC3902 know which is the master one? Or, how does the master know its the master?
