hi,
what's the difference between type A and type B waveforms when driving LCD panel?

You will find the answer on pages 18-19 of this data sheet:

thanks, but i still cannot get it..

Waveform A starts at Vss then goes to Vpp and ends with Vss with pulses between V4 and V1 every clock pulse, whereas waveform B has the same level across the duration of a frame with start and end pulses varying every second frame.
Also, pulse duration in waveform A is 1/2 (200 clock impulses) of the waveform B (400 clock impulses) ..

so, any advantage/disadvantage of one over the other?

actually, i am not really quite clear about this...

when the microcontroller supports both type of waveform, i can select any rite?

It depends entirely on the LCD you are using.
