In two-tone nonlinear simulation. How much should be Fspacing? And also is it RF frequency should be the centre frequency?

Note: my target frequency band 3.4-3.6 GHz. thanks

Hi,

I'm no HF specialist, but afaik Fspacing depends on the input (data) frequency.

Klaus

Set all frequencies inside bandwidth of DUT.
Where all frequencies mean f1, f2, 2*f1-f2, 2*f2-f1.

Show me lower and upper frequencies for 1dB bandwidth of your DUT.

What analysis method do you use ?

What analysis do you use ?
HB or Tran ?

f0=(3.4GHz+3.6GHz)/2=3.5GHz
BW=0.2GHz, BW/3=0.0666GHz
I choose delta_f=50MHz < BW/3

(1) standard case
f1=f0-delta_f/2
f2=f0+delta_f/2

(2) allevitated case
f2=f0-delta_f
f1=f2-delta_f

or

f1=f0+delta_f
f2=f1+delta_f

Analysis HB
In this case, Is it f-spacing is 50 MHz?

Yes for standard case.
If you have an interest about IM5, you have to reduce delta_f.

I also want to ask if you have an idea about ACPR or ACLR? Can we simulate one of these parameters using HB simulation in ADS? Thanks

You have to apply modulated signal for evaluation of ACLR, use envelope analysis which is time variable HB.

Thanks alot. do you have any documented guide show how to properly use envelope analysis to obtain ACLR for power amplifier?
