Hello i have looked through the forums and cant seem to find an answer to how a triac works with the circuit I linked.
I am stuck in understanding how this circuit works, when i press the A key the light will dimmer, but I'm not sure how the triac works, can someone tell me why it dimmers the light? Because when i put the circuit into real components. The signal on the right side of the lamp follows the input, but goes to 0 when the signal on the left side is high.. How is this possible?
The attached picture shows how the signals look.
