Treadmill motor speed control circuit

hello every one
i am having a treadmill dc motor 2 terminal rated at 180vdc and 5A .
I wanted to controll its speed without loosing torque.
Would this circuit works well i am using IGBT 25N120ND instead of mosfet.
will this work?
