transmitting and receiving using nexsys 2 board

Hi,


I am doing a project on nexsys 2 board

I need to communicate with UART of the nexsys 2 board and computer

I need to transmit a number from the nexsys 2 board and receive it back and I need to display the received number on the 7 segment display.

Can any one help in writing the code for this

And by check out I mean actually download the examples and play around with it, read the code, change it etc. A lot of the functionality you are looking for is already in the examples provided by Digilent.

For the UART you can also use this one: http://www.fpga4fun.com/SerialInterface.html That has ready to go verilog code where just about all you have to do is set the baudrate and system clock.

Can't seem to find it right now, must have left it in my other pants. But that's no problem, because you can get a design with rs232 up and running in the meantime. You'll need that anyways, and if this is My First Fpga Design you'll have plenty to occupy you while I try & locate the other pants.
