Can anybody tell me the congifiguration of the transsistor in this circuit(lie detector circuit).. If m nt worng... its a common collector! and what kind of biasing is done to it? and whats the need of the capacitor there??? plz reply..

Hi Capacitor is used due to following reasons: Capacitor functions as a smoothing capacitor and removes the 50Hz induced mains hum that is found on a person's body I suggest u to go to this link for more details ... **broken link removed**

You do not need two batteries and you don't need that old transistor for the very simple ohm-meter circuit.
