transfer an aps to a ups

does anyone knows how to transfer a aps to a ups.i know i need to use zero crossing and i know how to do the circuit by using an opto isolator. the problem is how to read it using a pic and how to switch over.

Don't believe that APS is a commonly understood technical term related to power supply. It's not even listed with a respective meaning on the Wikipedia disambiguation page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/APS

Please clarify what you are talking about.

sorry for the unclear post .the thing is in our country when you say APS everyone knows what we are talking about.
i will try explaining myself
aps=is a dc to ac inverter it could be square or sine wave.in this case it is a sine wave . it is called an aps because when electricity is present a relay automatically turns on and the user will be supplied from source.
my question is how to transfer this to a line interactive inverter.
