bif44 is correct. R and Z2 are in parallel. R1 is in series with the parallel combination of R and Z2. An alternate way of performing the calculation without converting to admittance, is to simply use the "Product over Sum" rule to compute the impedance of the parallel combination: Zpar = 5(8+j6)/(5+8+j6). Then add Z1 as biff44 suggests.
