The tin is weak and will loose contact force with time. The best are crimped contacts - but only with a suitable, high quality crimp tool. If you need details, do a search for "gas tight crimping". Klaus Click to expand... The wires I use aren't manually tinned they are completely tined by factory, I don't tin the ends with solder. Wouldn't soldering the ring terminal onto the wire be just as good as crimping it? Last edited: Mar 18, 2019
