Hi,
IEEE1284 is not a Chip, it is an IEEE Standard for the signal handshaking method for the parallel port of today's PC, describing three modes of its operation,viz., 1.Compatibility Mode, based on signals of the Old Centronics port, 2.Extended Capabilities Port (ECP) Mode, and 3. Extended Parallel Port (EPP) Mode. It is a Priced dcument available form IEEE.
