How to convert brd file to siw file so that it can be used in siwave?Or please suggest some other method it can be converted to siw file using ansoftlinks??

Thanks in Advance

Ansys Siwave imports two files to open any design.
1. Ansoft Neutral File V2 (*.ANF)
2. Siwave Component file (*.CMP)

to export .BRD file to .ANF & .CMP files, you need to install ANSYS GUI (comes with Siwave) on the system on which cadence is installed. After installation you'll find Ansys link on cadence window. Using this link you can export your design to Siwave files.

ANSYS just released v2014 of ALinks and SIwave. This adds another option for importing Cadence Allegro, APD and SiP:

If you have the following situation then you can directly drop and drag .brd, .sip, and .mcm into the SIwave GUI using SIwave v2014. Alternatively there is a File->Import Cadence from within SIwave too. The .anf and .cmp export or SIwave launch still works as well.

1. Have Cadence Allegro, APD, or Sip installed on the same machine as:
2. ANSYS ECAD Translators v8 (released Dec. 2013)
3. ANSYS SIwave v2014 (released Dec. 2013)

Again the traditional export .anf and .cmp from Cadence still works to. You can still launch SIwave from Cadence too.
