Hello folks,

In brief, I am pretty beginner in PICs. I have done some works by PIC micro controllers but I am very interested in and love to work on Ethernet.

I'd like to make a device, just to recognize Ethernet network (something such as a tester of Ethernet-availability on a network node) and rather this device be able to do ping on a pre-specified HTTP address or it be able to recognize the Internet on a network node.

Would you very kindly let me know your ideas, viewpoints and of course your valuable solutions in detail please?

Due most respect, all suggestions are welcome.

Yours Truly

Andy

P.S. I am not familiar with other MCUs, I just like PIC.
