Hi,
It is given that, In timer 0 of pic microcontroller, the increment of timer0 register is inhibited for first two instruction cycle after writing to it.

I understand this one without prescalar.

I know that if i assign the prescalar as 4 then timer 0 increments for every fourth instruction cycle normally.

My doubt is with the prescalar as 4 and after writing to the timer 0 register, will the increment be inhibited for how many cycles? I mean 2 instruction cycle or 8 instruction cycle?

Thanks,
Murugesh

Only two because it start's count after two MC.
Then it doesn't matter that prescalar is there or not.
