Hi
It is suggested that for EMI Compliance we should avoid track stubs in our design and has been said they produce harmonics and reflections.
I'm looking for a good resources to dive into and find the logic?
Thanks
What speed and rise time has the signal?
Are you talking high speed design?
If so look for Howard Johnson( speedingedge), Eric Bogatin (bethe signal) in attached links.
Both situations you have drawn will have some stub loading on the line, the second illustration minimises the parasitics added by the PCB routing>
