Bad News!
The IC5.0 cannot be installed in Redhat Linux 9.0!!
But you can install it in Redhat 7.2/8.0, then tar the installed directory and untar it in Redhat 9.0.
Try that, I've done and works fine in Redhat 9.0.

Re: The problem of installation of cadence ic50 in redhat9.

Hello

I'm using RedHat 9 (2.4.20) and IC5033 installs well. I dont know what I've did. I simply start to install.
I've an "emulized" version of package, but is the normal one. Look in that program for "thedock" ... good luck.

By change anyone have a license to AMS Design kit or hit kit ?

Best regards,

Asmjager

Re: The problem of installation of cadence ic50 in redhat9.

Follow the spec. IC500 only work with RD7.2/RH7.3

Re: The problem of installation of cadence ic50 in redhat9.

IC5033 installs/works under EL3.0 (minus the A Artist or is it just me?)

IC5033 installs/works under FC2 and FC3 (minus the A Artist or again ....)

For the above, export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.1 is needed before installation begins, and export CDS_Netlisting_Mode=Analog is needed afterwards to maintain sanity.

and it also works fine under Mandrake 9.2

All this info is already available on previous posts.

You may have a corrupt archive. Try installing from the HD and not from the disc as suggested by another user earlier.

Re: The problem of installation of cadence ic50 in redhat9.

Hi all,
Anybody successfully installed IC5033 on SuSE 9.3? I got error messages during softload uncompressing files. fyi: I installed it in user mode, not in supervisor mode.
