Can I observe the output of ir2110/2112 (HO, LO) on oscilloscope. Should it not be of the same form as of input to the HIN an LIN pins but only larger in magnitude (equal to VCC) ???????????

Please Help....

Hi,

Lo should be 0V for Low, and about 12V (IR2110 driver supply voltage) for high

HO should be 0V for LOW and about (FET_power_voltage + 12V) for high.

for more detailed answers we need more informatiion.
Show us your schematic with voltages.

You need to connect the lower side fet for the bootstrap to work...
Check the SD pin is connected properly so the IC is not shut down.

Hi,

are you sure you want to use R1, R10 and D5?
R1 and R10 slow down charging of bootstrap capacitor. I don´t think this is a good idea. Try to short them.

I have checked the output of HO and LO. They are exactly in phase square wave,

while I apply exactly out of phase square wave at Lin and Hin pins.

Any idea why this behaviour

Thanking in advance

Yes, you are doing something wrong, perhaps the way you measure, perhaps the bootstrap setup, perhaps the IC is dead from earlier "work" .... perhaps the build is wrong some where...

You have to connect SD, VSS and COM to the same ground point otherwise the internal circuit of IR2110 will not have proper reference signal.
