i didnt mean i will give 10 points.what i mean is please explain me with atleast 10 difference ( points ) between prototyping and emulation.
in wikepedia i searched already and i am not conviced by the way he explains:
"A key distinction between an emulator and an FPGA prototyping system is that the emulator provides a rich debug environment while a prototyping system has little to no debug capability and is primarily used after the design is debugged to create multiple copies for system analysis and software development. '
Emulator:
it is device based.....
to test the different block of device...with easy setting of register....
Prototype:
generally it is used for special functional test..like ethernet,USB,serial link...
**************
if prototype covers all the blocks of the device...then it is very generic/universal prototype...

pls dont forget to press help me....and feel free to discuss...
