Biasing, in general. means to apply a precalculated voltage or current to an electronic circuit to set the appropriate bias/quiscent point..
Now, why do we bias a ckt is ...... Whenever we design a circuit , we expect that the signal gives us symmetrical and equal output in both the halfcycles of the input.....So, we find a point where , if the ckt is operated, there will be equal maximum swing on both the sides ..... As such, this point is the bias point....
Also, for BJT to act as amplifier, it should be biased in the active region and more strictly in the centree of the active region so as to allow max swing of output
