I am designing a few boards that are 90% SMT and have lots of nice small components like TQFP-44 etc

A new board i am doing has both SPI and UART lines and i want to add test points to hook my Logic Analyser to if things dont work as expected,

What is the standard procedure for test points i can clip on to for a SMT PCB,

Any advice would be great,

Thanks,

Just put a hole in the board where you can solder a pin to hook the logic analyzer os scope.

Ye i was thinking that, Is there special loops or anything that can be got??, for larger runs if say i had 100 boards the bed of nails type tester wont work so is there an SMT version of it to probe certain points on the board???

Placeing one pad and soldering berg pin only better option,i think there is no any better option.
