I would like to build/design my own homemade climatic chamber to do some electronics pre-qualificaion and testing.
The typical pcb size is around 10inx10in.
A typical project can easily dissipates up to 45W.
Ideally the chamber temperature range should be around 0oC to 60oC
Does someone have any experience and ideas to build a chamber to meet those requirements ?
An old fridge could work. The insulation is not too bad. The cooling can not get you down to zero, but it can help.
Use a heater, controlled by a thermostat for heating and a fan inside to circulate the air.
I read an article in Circuit Cellar where a guy did something similar using a portable cooler/warmer. These are fairly cheap ($50 US avg) and most of the electronics are built in.
