Synchronization techniques for phase modulation

Dear all
all modulation techniques have the information in their phase (eg. PSK) need phase/time synchronization, I need a brief idea about the synchronization techniques or references have them.

Most method base on PLL and synchronize to phase and frequency. then demodulation and decoding are easy.
for more information refere to "Digital Communication" by J.G.Proakis chapter 6

Of course the are some phase modulation for example differencial PSK which dont need phase reference.

a MSK modulated signal: duration 6.4us. 5Mbps

how to do phase or time synchronization?

i think , wo should do signal processing after analysising the modulated signal . And you must know what you need!
