Is it the same as charge pumps/doublers...I am interested in a step-down(maintains output at 1/2 or 1/3 of the input...for a wide range of input)regulator using sw-cap design...not using inductors(i mean not the buck)...with very low ripple
What are the adv over the LDOs and buck regs?
Is there any good book for this specific topic(sw-cap regulators in specific) or any articles/papers.
By design, switched cap regulators are restricted to fixed voltage ratios or have to be supplemented with analog post regulators. Loss free operation is only achieved, if the voltage across all involved capacitors is kept constant during operation cycle.
