Dear members of the EDA community,

I want to know how SwitchLevel Simulation (SLS) works with an example. I am not looking for an algorithm. I am looking for an example where I can see what is the output of each step of the switch level simulation algorithm.

I am trying to have a retro look at EDA simulation tools. I stumbled upon switch level simulation. Unfortunately, there is not much information available on the internet. I have read several papers which show SLS algorithms. But none of them give an example.

Ideally, it would be nice if there would be a document showing a few inverters connected in series and having pass transistor between each of them. Then the document could describe how SLS works its way to generate the output waveforms, given the input waveforms.

I would like to make this document if someone who knows SLS in detail could help me with the concept.

Thanks,
Rohit
