A simple question regarding if i change Tx+ wire with Tx- and vice versa in Ehternet communication. Will the communication still be possible ?
If yes, Eventually, does it also apply to RS-422 Communication.
Thanks
This might resemble an ethernet crossover cable. Years ago it was the type needed when networking two computers directly.
The normal straight-through type was adequate for other ethernet hookups. Nowadays the crossover type is rarely needed.
Crossover cables swap TX+ and TX- with the other pair RX+ and RX- to avoid the signals passing through a router/hub (which swaps them internally), it isn't the same as swapping the signals on the TX or on the RX wires.
On RS422 it still works electrically but the output of the receiver is inverted, you can't swap TX and RX over though or you get two receivers listening to reach other and a fight between transmitters with nothing noticing!
