substitute IC for 74LS173

can you please help me. what ic can i use to substitute for 74LS173. because we are going to use it on our experiment for registers (SISO,PIPO,SIPO,PISO).

Why 74LS173?
If you don't need gated D-inputs and gated outputs then you can use any D-register IC with (only) D-registers, eg. 74LS74

i don't know if we won't use those inputs and outputs but i will try that.

its because i can't seem to find 74ls173 in any of electronics store here.

Try looking for 74LS373 instead. Its almost exactly the same, except bigger ... i.e. its an octal latch instead of just 4.
