Hi there .I've got a question about stepper motor interfacing to parallel port .My stepper motor is EM 50 EPM 4233 1701) .well that's what's written on the case. It's from an epson dot matrix i think..The motor is a unipolar but energizing the two leads of a single winding alternately moves the motor in one direction while energizing the otyher winding in a si,ilar way reverses the direction .Well i think thats odd because i don't have to use the second winding to completely rotate it in one direction .If it seems ok to you please reply . Also if there are any other problems that you feel can trouble me please mention 'em too say e.g timing of parallel port siognals..
thanks

There are two types of steppers. Bipolar and unipolar.
Interfacing Bipolar and unipolar stepper motor is available on my book

It is a free book. You can get it from yahoo group-booksbybibin
