HI,
I've got a problem. Sometimes L5970, used in stepdown config 12V output, break down. My device could be powered by 12V or 24V. Sometimes when i power up my device, L5970 dreak and it stops regulating output voltage. My output voltage in those cases is the same as input voltage. I happened more frequently with a bit output capacitor. And less frequently with a small capacitor. How can I avoid that? is there any kind of protection?? I use a polyswitch, a 33V zener diode and 60V Varistor. nothing in output. Inhibit Pin is grounded.
Thanks,
