Actually when you use your load it will consume only the required current. Say you have connected a load thatt takes 1amp, it will consume the same no matter you supply 60 amps to it or 100 amp. If you want not to supply more than the required current, you may use a fuse which is an easiest option. Good luck

That's right if the problem is related to a (possibly current limited) voltage source. But there are much more thinkable problems, e.g. current measurement, how to reduce an actual load current, etc. ...

You may want to clarify your problem to get effective help.
