SSR Controlling A Squirrel Cage Motor

I have a few shop tools (Drill press, scroll saw, etc) that I would like to add foot switches to. I picked up a sewing machine on/off momemtary petal and a 25A, 350VAC solid state relay. The motors I am controlling are only 6A maximum draw and the setup seems to work without issues.

I would now like to adapt the design to my table saw for making repetitive cross sled cutting however my saw is 250VAC, 17A, 3HP. Would a solid state relay still be an appropriate choice and if so how much overrated should it be?
