Hi,
I know that spectrum analyzer in FFT mode is very fast and can capture short transient events like noise. But in FFT mode sensitivity is hurt. I want to know if FFT mode is better than swept mode in phase noise measurements?

I think the only advantage of FFT spectrum analysis over Sweep Mode, is the speed, and cannot be better for phase noise measurements. Also the dynamic range is lower in FFT mode.
