i am looking for a circuit to generate,

10 v o/p dc for 9v i/p dc
9 v o/p dc for 10v i/p dc
8 v o/p dc for11v i/p dc
7 v o/p dc for 12v i/p dc
6 v o/p dc for 13v i/p dc
5 v o/p dc for 14v i/p dc
4 v o/p dc for 15v i/p dc
3 v o/p dc for 16v i/p dc
2 v o/p dc for 17v i/p dc
1 v o/p dc for 18v i/p dc

how can be this done ?

What is the possible method?

Forget the first case for now.You still have 9 cases from 10 V i/p to 18 V i/p.
Is a brute method okay for you.
You have 9 cases from 10 V i/p to 18 V i/p.Use 9 switches,one for each input.
Suppose say input is 11 V,switch 2 is closed,use a resistive divider (3R & 8R).You get the voltage across 8R to be 8 v.
Similarly for other cases,if input is 15 V,switch 6 is closed,use a resistive divider (4R & 11R).You get the voltage across 4R to be 4 v.

Now for case of 9V i/p.use seperate switch & pull it up to 10 v.
is such a brute method acceptable ????

Sounds like a job for a unity gain inverter with output offset to me.

Hi gold smith,

Sure, its a monsoon here.solar panels output voltage is a bit low.

so i am planning a booster ckt,which adjusts the o/p voltage according to the panel voltage.

my idea is an vco working in frequency inversely proportion to i/p voltage.this vco switches a boost ckt (dc-dc)

pls help. I have a single 12 v battery. 9 Ah.
