Hi.

I have the package drawing (please see the attachment) for a DIL 40 pin packaged (Kyocera KD-78300-F) IC. I want to find the appropriate socket for this package.

I am seeing that sockets available in the market are of 2 types on the basis of the Row-to-Row Spacing of 0.61 inch and 0.60 inch.
What is this spacing related to? - is it for the pins at the bottom of the socket; or for the holes at the top of the socket?

Which "Row-to-Row Spacing" socket should I choose, or either should be fine?

Thanks!

Hi,

Never heared of a 610 mil socket.

Use a standard (but high quality) 600 mil socket.
