I Need design of solar tracking sys using microcontroller/ pc interface. the sys req to track sun from dawn to dusk to maximum use of solar energy.

Look in the elektuur 2006 July/Aug edition. www.elektuur.nl a super simple circuit does not use microcontroller only a motor and some sensors.

Hi, I will post the elektuur schematic when I get home :)..

Hi...
Very simple design...
Two LDRs (Light Dependent Resistors) in a wheatston balanced configuration...placed under an opaque sheild....placed very close to the LDRs...
When placed in light/sun...one of the LDRs exposed and unbalances the bridge...
the unbalanced bridge output picked up by ADC given to microcontroller for driving the motor...
MUST CONSULT SENIORs...

the best way is to read the voltage by adc and control motor depends on value.

There is a lot of links for solar, with couple of simple sun-tracking projects:

Also very interesting link for ebook about homemade solar sells:

Enjoy
