Sniffing UART transmission.

Dear GURU's

I would like to sniff the UART transmission between two uC, what should I do ? I have data cable which has Rx, Tx and GND signals, how should I connect the data cable to the bus ? Do I need any resistors or diodes in order to not interfere with uC communication ?
