this question is from Razavi Design on analog cmos integrated circuit ed 2 chapter 3 3-16 (c)
it is required to sketch vout vs vin for the circuit in the left --- the solution shown in the right (in the captured picture for the solution manual)

i think in the answer there is an error as R1 and R2 swapped ?
my answer showed in the picture captured using red pen
my answer vout = VDD- (1+ R1/R2)vth2
for vin= vth1 + (2*VTH2 /( kn *R2 * (w/l)1 ))*.5

i hope to help me about this ...and if iam not correct can you show me how you get this answer
(This is not a home work ...sure )

Hi,

For M2 in saturation - Vth2 = Id*R1, Id = 0.5uC(W/L)1*(Vin - Vth1)^2, and from here Vin = Vth1 + sqrt(Vth2/0.5R1uC(W/L)1)

For Vout: Vth2/R1 = (Vx-Vout)/R2, where Vx = Vdd - Vth2, and Vout = Vdd - Vth2(1+R2/R1)
